HHM: Print Ads
Concept: Located in Bay City Michigan, the Hell's Half Mile Film and Music Festival is an annual event that celebrates the creative minds of the local community through 4 days of movies music and more. The Hell’s Half Mile Film and Music Festival needed an ad campaign that would not only inform the public about the event, but also inspire excitement and strengthen the community. I chose a demonstrative approach, illustrating the various aspects that the festival had to offer. Using the slogan “Movies. Music. More.” I created various collage-like designs with vector illustrations to catch the eye of the public and inspire interest. The use of strong angles and variations in scale were intended to create an exciting scene that implied movement. Using this concept, I managed to create a variety of different applications for this slogan to create a consistent campaign that worked well across all of the project’s required qualifications.

HHM: Multi-Media Ads
Concept:Once the Hell's Half Mile print ads were completed, the next step of the project was to apply our campaigns to multi-media and ambient ads. Using strategically placed murals, social media ads, a mobile app and a 30 second TV commercial–I maintained my demonstrative approach consistently throughout the project.
For the ambient portion of this project, I created a vinyl wrap for the bathroom stalls of businesses located in downtown Bay City. This design would be most effectively placed in a bars or restaurants to reach our target audience– adults ages 18 and up. My thought process for this design was to make a dramatic change to an ordinary space to the extent that it would be difficult for viewers to forget.

G2 Performance: Digital Ads
Concept: G2 Performance, a company specializing in designing marching band uniforms, contracted me as a freelance designer to assist with their marketing. Below are a couple examples of the online ads that I have created for the company. These designs include social media ads, Facebook banners, and email ads.
Creating these designs involved taking images from the company's social media sites as well as images provided by the company, and editing out unnecessary portions of the photographs. This usually involved simply removing the backgrounds to create stand-alone images that can be used to create original content.

The Vapor House: Vinyl Window Decals
Concept: While employed by a small business owner operating out of the Tri-city area, I was tasked with finding a creative solution to draw attention to a store front location off of a busy road. While the location had a lightbox sign and the store's logo on an awning, the owner felt that more could be done to draw attention to the strip mall as there were very few businesses left within it. My solution was to create an ambient mural displaying the products that the business sold. Using a combination of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and the camera on my Iphone– I created the image below as a visual mockup for what the storefront design would look like.
